Well, recently. lol. I totally forgot about #300. It was a few posts ago. Ehhhhhhhh i don't have anything planned. So just expect something really good for 400. :P

'On-hiatus'-blogger (his words, not mine :P) Spencer came over to visit me and meet Bitboy today. :P He's doing well, working in event management in Melbourne occasionally. And Bitboy says he's looking good too. *suspicious* >.>

I know i said i'd post about my coming out experience, but i realised that the post would take a huge amount of effort, because it is a long story, and lately i've been really busy. I seem to have many responsibilities around blogworld recently. I just don't really have time to make a post like that. Sometime in the future though, yes.

Okayz. First of all, congratulations to me! lol. 200 posts is a lot!

Sorry this took so long. But it was soooooooooooooo harrrrrdddddddd. It's 200 facts about me. I tried to make them all somewhat interesting, and i didn't want to have any repeats either.

I did my best and it took me a week of work and frustration. :/

Oh yeah btw, all these are true. :D

And before we get into it, i wanna thank Seth, Aek and Reilly. They were really helpful by giving me some ideas. Trev, Seb, Dan and Paul also helped too. I guess people could see that i was suffering and they took pity on me. lol

Starting with the basics...

1. I am an only child.

2. I live with my Mum.

3. No, i never met my Dad.

4. I live on the coast of Australia in a small city.

5. I have 2 cats.

6. I turn 16 on the 22nd of May.

7. I want to be an author (preferably famous lol).

8. As a job, i would like to be a journalist.

9. I want to leave my city as soon as i can.

10. My favourite colour is pink. 2nd is red, 3rd is black.

11. My favourite TV show is 30 Rock. I also like Dexter, Lost, Mythbusters and Heroes.

12. My favourite type of music is techno.

13. I'm short-sighted so i wear glasses or contacts.

26. I don't like eating meat... but i do still eat it.

48. I got my first pair of sunglasses in Melbourne, cos i'd only recently gotten contacts.

50. I have had 5 cats - Tiger and Jemima, Miticus (Mit), Cosmo, and Oscar.

51. Oscar never liked me, and he ran away one day. I was too young to really care. lol

52. Cosmo disappeared as well.

53. I loved Mit, but one day he just disappeared too. It broke my heart. :(

54. That's why i always freak out when my cats don't come home at night. Sometimes i will cry because i'm so worried something has happened to them, like the others.

55. I love my cats a lot. In fact i love them more than most people. lol

57. I have 2 radios beside my bed. One acts as a radio, and the other as an alarm.

We've come a long way together haven't we.

I love writing this blog. I still maintain that starting it was one of the best things i've ever done. To think that if i'd never started, i wouldn't have met so many amazing people and learnt so much about the rest of the world, well, i can't imagine where i'd be, and i don't want to know. Blogs are amazing and this one has changed my life for the better in many amazing ways. I also hope i provide you with some sort of amusement or interest. :)

Creative writing is a huge part of my life. But i always felt like the sorts of writing posts that i wanted to make didn't belong on this blog. So, i created a blog just for them! Where i can post about that huge part of my life that i don't mention on here much.

What this blog has done for me:

It's given me a positive attitude. I used to be a pessimist. I saw the bad side of everything, including myself. Since i started writing this blog, that has changed.

It's given me inner strength. I can step outside my door and know who i am on the inside, and not be willing to let anyone change that.

It's widened my view of the world. There are great people and places out there, and so many great things to do. I realised that the rest of the world is not like my little city, and thank God for that!

It's gifted to me people who can support me when i need help.

I've met so many amazing people who i love.

And it's all been a hell of a lot of fun. :)



I realised we have to be thankful for what we have. For fuck sake, we need to stop worrying about what we don't have. We're always going to be missing something. Life's not perfect for anyone! Just be grateful! Everyone has to have something in their life they're lucky to have, whether it's a single close friend, or an accepting family, or enough money to live by, or health, or a hot ass, or a great skill, or even a couple of loving pets.

I'm thankful i have this blog. It was the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I've decided that for this 100th post, i'm gonna try to come up with 100 random facts about me.

Some of these you may have heard before, some you won't have.

Let's get going then...



1. For Xmas, my Mum gave me pillows that give me neck pains, a router that doesn't fit, underwear that is too big, clothes that i had to fight for so she didn't pick them out herself... and some yummy chocolates. ^_^

2. For Xmas, my Grandma gave me a shaver thingy.

3. For Xmas, i gave my Mum earrings, which i picked out and payed for myself.

4. I had a haircut yesterday.

5. I wear my watch on my right hand, even though i'm right-handed.

6. My cat Tig has learnt to knock on the front door when he wants to come in.

7. I like wearing cargo pants and shorts.

8. I own a Nintendo Wii. Super Smash Bros Brawl ftw! :P

9. I'm a picky eater.

10. I love morning TV shows.

11. One of my neighbours is mowing their lawn right now... It's Christmas! Could you not have picked a better day!?

Yes, Mirrorboy's Blog is celebrating 75,000 views. :)

My blog has changed my life in such incredible ways... that i cannot imagine what life would be like without it.

I think that i will be around our little blog world for a long time to come. Even if Mirrorboy's Blog comes to a close, i will always be here, in some form or another... It has affected me in so many ways, and many of them are incredibly positive. It means so much to me.



For once, i feel like i belong to something. Before i did this, i was just a miserable little kid. I'd barely spoken to another gay being, and that made me feel so alone and weird.

Life sucked. I could not be myself. Not only was in in the closet, but i had no way of being me to anyone. And i saw absolutely no way out.

And yet, after i took that one first step into the blogging world, which i felt very apprehensive about, i now have this... or rather, i have all of you, and you've all seriously opened up my eyes. I cannot express that enough. The world is a big place full of wonderful and amazing people...

And before i met you... i thought the world was a very unkind place to live in.



So, i want to express to all of you, a profound thanks, from the bottom of my heart, for simply accepting me, and you know i mean that to ALL of you. Even you cute little silent readers, who i know are there... i'll keep doing this for you, as well as myself.

It is literally an honour to be a part of something so... just plain special, and to share myself with the part of the world who won't reject me.

I would say i am lucky... but to be honest... i got here on my own hard work! LOL! Suck on that!

Yep. I've put a lot of time and effort into this. And it was hard... but you only get out what you put in. And it was all worth it. :)



Now forgive me while i suddenly seem to change the topic...



I believe in karma... and not in some weird spirit and soul way... lol

Simply, show a little bit of kindness for someone, care about them, lend them your ear and give them your opinion when they ask for it, and they will be better for it, and they will remember you.

And when you do that for a bunch of people, you make a lot of wonderful friends who would do the same for you.

That is karma for ya, at least the way that i like to interpret it.



Also, when we all care about each other, there is no problem that one of us can not overcome, because we will be united.

Whether by actually being there in person, or sending your support, or offering your knowledge, or simply loving the person, we can all do something special.

That is what we have in our little blog community... and we are truly lucky. When any of us or our readers have a problem, they can come to us for help.

I don't know what else to say... other than that is a truly special thing...



Okay, time to finish before this post gets even more bizarre... This was a 15yo giving advice to all of you on how to care for one another. LOL

Hope i made sense... I'm never sure anymore... :P

Milestone. The story of my blog.

I started this blog 2 months ago.

Since then, I've had over 50,000 views.



Just 2 months ago, i was an incredibly lonely boy who felt he was nothing.

I was in the closet and frustrated to hell about it. I had absolutely ZERO contact with any sort of gay community, which was what i prayed for. I resented the friends i had because i was sure they hated people like me.

Every day i was crushed further into the ground as i pretended to be someone else. I let people stamp over my values and make crude remarks.

I felt i would be like this forever...

I would never meet anyone else like me. How can you, when you're too terrified to come out, and when there are no other 'out' people around you?

I felt i would lie forever.

There was no way out that i could imagine. I would be crushed, along with my values and hopes and dreams into a snivelling little mess.

I cried at night more than once, because i felt so pathetic.

There was nothing i could do.



Then one night, i sat down. I had 20 minutes before my Mum got home from work and i would have to get off the computer.

I got onto Blogger... and i clicked on Create a Blog.

I had to think of a name... I had to think of a blog address... I had to pick a layout. I did.

And then i started writing.



I started a tiny little blog with one post.

I slowly added to my blog everyday, even though nobody was reading.

I was more nervous than you could possibly imagine. I was sure that what i thought would mean nothing to people who had their own lives to live.

There were already so many other blogs out there. I thought mine would be lost.


And then it all began...

My first link and comment came from Jake Annonymous. He said that we should be 'brother blogs,' and at that point i had only written a few posts that nobody had read.

I owe a lot to him. It was the first sign that something might come of this.


I started linking. I started getting more views... and then very slowly... i started getting comments.

I put up my msn address, and for the first time in my life, i was able to speak to someone who understood what it was like. I think his name was... Lach. :P

Thank you Lach, and Jake. You both gave me a lot of confidence when i had none.


I started getting more links, and slowly more important ones on places like milkboys.

People started reading. They started actually commenting and e-mailing.

I sent out requests for links. I started spreading. People started asking ME for links.

People added me to msn. And i started making friends.

I started connecting with the sort of people who i had been looking for since i found myself.



I was getting somewhere.

My blog grew. And as people showed an interest in me, i started putting more effort in.

I witnessed the births of other blogs, who said that blogs like mine gave them courage.


And i got somewhere. My blog was being read by people. People actually cared about me.

I made dozens of amazing friends who have got my back and genuinely want the best for me.



Since i started, i've gone through the toughest time in my life.

I was outed to my friends, and then at school. I was outed to everyone.

I was terrified, but i had all of YOU to calm me down, reassure me and give me advice. I think that without your support, i would have broken down. I would not have been able to take this.

But i did, thanks to my blog - my place to share my fears and concerns with a world who cares.



I'm so grateful to be in this position.

I just want to say THANK YOU.


You've been with me, every step of the way.

You've been along the times i've been strong, you've cared when i was scared, you've helped me when i was sad, and you even sat through my awful rants. :P


From my every-post commenters, to my daily e-mailers, to my silent readers, to the nervous people who've been entirely in the closet all their lives, and who tell me just working up the courage to write an email was a struggle...

You make my life bearable.


And if me being here has helped anyone be more confident in who they are, then it was all worth it.

...Saying that, it has helped me more than any of you.

Milestone, and miles above the clouds...

So a week ago i celebrated 20,000, now it's time for the 30,000 views milestone celebration! woot! :P

Although i don't have the computer for long tonight so i can't go and find any cool stuff to celebrate with...


Still, the way the poll is going, it looks like you all want to know some more personal stuff about me, like what goes on inside my head, so that will be our celebration for tonight. :)

As all my friends know, being RANDOM is what i excel at... :P

So here are some random (and personal) facts about me...


- My next-door neighbour looks like Drew Carey.

- I have a thing for Rafael Nadal, and i love tennis. :)

- I think my first crush was for an Asian boy i knew in Primary School.

- I have a teddy-bear who i pretended was a boy when i was younger (just like an imaginary friend)...

(also how i discovered masturbation) :D

- I have a Nintendo Wii, and i kick everyone's asses on it. :P

(just a little geeky lol)

- I got done for truancy at school. :(

(Bad m-boy!) i know... but i've gotten past that now. :)

SPANK ME :P

- Lately i think i'm obsessed with angel-boys - even boys dressed as angels. Thinking of that toga-like thingy draped over their body revealing random spots of skin... oh, and wings! How awesome would that be...

We all fantasize... :D

- I'm an early-riser.

- It's easier to write when i'm tired... (isn't that weird)

- I cry really easily when i watch movies or TV (especially when bad things happen to the cute ones) ;)

- My favourite drink is Schweppes Lemonade. I can almost fall over in pleasure when i take a sip... (well, maybe that's a little exaggeration) :P

- I have bad circulation. My hands and feet get cold really easily and even in normal weather i get really cold and start shaking.

(All the more reason to find a boy i can cuddle, aye? Make me an offer.) :P

- I am a 'cat person'.

- No, i don't like meat, but i still eat it... One day i might be a vegetarian though... I'm not sure.

- My single biggest wish is to have a boyfriend i can share love with, but so far i've seen absolutely no sign of any decent ones in my life... That's kind of depressing... I get sad if i think about it too much. But i'm not depressed, so don't start with all that 'be patient - it'll happen' sort of stuff again! :P

The fine line between reading and frustration.

I can't believe i made a 'celebrating 100 views' post a while back. lol... such a noob... :P

Today's post:

There's a funny thing about me... Even though i do a lot of writing and a lot of work with words, i have a very short attention span when reading. Occasionally i'll find myself in the proper reading mood, but when i'm not, it's quite hard for me.

My eyes jump from line to line, and it's hard for me to read each word. Especially when i'm reading something other than a book, i can't read things in the proper order. I have to keep going back and focusing on the words.

Sometimes, even when i'm doing that, i can miss words and even big chunks of writing.


It's especially hard for me when people don't do paragraphs.

When i'm faced with just a massive chunk of writing, my eyes just glaze over. It's very hard for me to read, and understand.

And don't get me started on the people who cut out all the vowels, lol. I struggle enough to read REAL words in tough situations.


Then when people start talking to me when i'm trying to read i get really stressed. It's hard to explain though, so people just usually joke about it, and tell me to not overreact and stuff.

I get distracted so easily. I have to fix every little thing before i can settle down... But that's a whole new OCD topic altogether. lol :P


But... when i put on music that i like, everything becomes a bit easier. Music helps me to focus. I don't know why... Maybe it drowns out the distractions, and helps me focus a bit more.

And music also helps me incredibly when i'm writing. You wouldn't believe how much so. It helps me to generate the story in my head. :)


Hooray for music.

And hooray for blogging. :)

1 month anniversary!! :D

Over 140 comments on (as of now) 38 posts. (Some were mine of course) :P

By the end of the day, i'll have had 15,000 views.

I've made countless friends. I <3 you all.

And not to mention how much this has helped me in my private life.

But enough about that, how to celebrate?

Well, here are some of my all-time FAVOURITE vids from Australia. It's a bit of an introduction to Aussie comedy if you will.

These are 3 vids from Thank God You're Here - Australia's highest rating program for a long time. Actors and comedians are put into a situation that they know nothing about and have to improvise their way through the scene.

Thanks to Landyn for giving me the idea for this. :)

First is Frank Woodley. There's not much i can say to prepare you for him. You'll just have to watch for yourself.




This is Josh Lawson. He seems almost intent on steering the scene out of the actors' control.

(also includes an ad for Hungry Jack's afterwards) :D lol




Believe it or not, he's worked on some serious Australian drama's as well.


Finally Shaun Micallef. I've mentioned him before in a previous post. What can i say? I love him. I adore him. He's my all-time favourite star.




Good times...

A lot to deal with. Deal with, i must. I am not dead, for now. Tomorrow? We will see.

I needed a break.

To arrange my mind.

A decision to make.

I needed some time.


But now i am back.

And i missed my friends.

Messages, emails, comments in stacks.

Many replies i must send.


A wave of love.

And a flood of support.

Like angels from above.

Of many assort.


With a circle of friends as amazing as this.

What do i care if school isn't bliss?


F**k the small-minded, it's their loss.

I've decided i really don't give a toss.


And those who accept me, like Matthew my bestie,

Will stick with me closely, and for that i am lucky.


Still, if things do wrong, and i cannot belong,

I will think of my real friends, and i will be strong.



Hmm... I dunno how i came up with that. It must be that creative talent i'm always boasting about. :P

As i said, i took a break.

I went to Matthew's house and we just hung out. At night we had a good talk, about me, obviously.

It was really nice. I didn't give him enough credit. Although he was shocked when i first told him about me (even though i had no choice) he said it sank in, and he's okay with it.

We talked about how i knew, and about my Mum finding out, and who i was attracted to. I also said i had zero interest in him sexually or romantically. I think he was a little disappointed. :P


Anyways, then i got back, and i had a bunch of comments and emails from my readers, plus a bunch of MSN friends who i've still got to catch up with. I know that a lot of people are worried about me, and as i can't talk to everyone, because i just don't have enough time, i'll tell you how i am, through my blog.

I've decided, that i will be okay.

Does that sound funny?

Quite simply, i've decided, that whatever happens - whether my sexuality is kept a secret between me and my friends, or everyone finds out, i will be okay.

Whatever happens, happens. I will deal with it.


I have a sort of... motto for dealing with things.

If things seem like they're awful, i just imagine where i'll be in a few weeks time.

THINGS SORT THEMSELVES OUT.

I'm not going to worry so much that i'll end up ripping my hair out and crying myself to sleep. My sexuality is not a big issue, and that is the 'plan' i will go to school tomorrow with. It's not a big deal. I will tell my friends, that they've been friends with me for years, and i've been gay that whole time. The only difference between then and now, is that now they know. I am still the same person.

If that's not good enough for them, they can get f**ked. And i will tell them that they are childish, small-minded pricks who i don't want anything to do with.

And i'll make some other friends, who know the real me - friends who i don't have to pretend around.

That is that.

I will be okay.

It's not a big deal.


Now, onto something else. I've reached the 10,000 views mark. :)

That's amazingly hard for me to comprehend. I never thought that so many people out there (around the world) would be interested in what a 15yo kid from a small town in Australia had to say.

But it makes me very happy, and the friendships that i've made through this blog have been incredible. And they came at a good time.

Without YOUR support i would be completely terrified. I would also be alone - alone, and lonely.

Without you guys, i would be in a very dark place right now.

But i am accepted, and that will help me when i am scared or sad.

I have hundreds of friends who understand and care.

The next time i'm in my dark place, i know i have a lot of beautiful, caring, loving, amazing friends to turn to. For that, i am eternally grateful.

Celebrating 100 views.

Believe it or not, about 100 of you have checked my blog out so far. My blog is still in my infantile stages so that's a great boost for me! My pessimist side told me nobody would read it - nobody would care, but we sured showed him didn't we. :D

To celebrate, i changed the layout of it, although there are still a few kinks i've got to work out.
