*smile*

Yes, so i went to the group.

And i saw some real life gay people. :O

There were about a dozen people there. Guys and girls. They all looked a bit older than me, but they seem like really nice people.

Today a visiting (straight lol) Scottish guy was there talking about what stuff is like for gays over in the UK. So most of it was listening to him. And the group was talking about laws and stuff.

I didn't really do any talking but i might get an opportunity to introduce myself next week when there's not a guest there. And i won't be as nervous next time hopefully. lol

All in all. A decent day. This sounds like a good thing for me.

I'll be back. :)

enjoy...

i still remember the first time i met a group of gay guys my age more or less in a social not sexual setting! [no details!]

Felt sooooo good. And i had a hot BF to hold hands with, etc. Well so did he! It was a PFLAG support group. Felt so real and all grown up.

hugs etc.

hooray!! glad you took that big step of getting out there.

You may find that the group dynamic will be better next week, sort of "what its really like" - without the guest visitor - and hopefully you'll enjoy it even more. sounds like they have some good people there, and the connections are important. don't be nervous!!

*hugs* glad you are sounding a bit happier!!

Way kewl, Mboy. Proud of you for taking that step.

Humans are social creatures and we tend to do better with like minded people in our lives, as well as having others not so like minded ... all in all, it gives us balance ... and a way to identify ourselves as our own true self.

Good on ya and be well.
