It's funny how many of you can NOT be happy for me. Hmm...
I'd like to thank those who are supporting MY decision to have an e-relationship with a boy i really like.
I had to explain to Peter why i was with Jake, so i'm going to repost some stuff from my comment on his blog.
I've known Jake for months, ever since i started my blog. He's a great guy with a wicked sense of humour, and he was also the first person to ever talk to me. Without his kindness my blog wouldn't have picked up.
We have so much in common.
And he makes me laugh and smile. And he's smart. And we're both only children. And we're both weird. And geez, we actually live on the same continent. So i decided to give this a shot, to see what happens. I like him a lot. I don't 'love' him (yet), but i'm willing to give that a chance to develop, and it would be great if it did.
Whatever. I just thought of a new poll.
No surprise what it is. Go have a look and vote. :)
It's not gonna change what i do, but i'm just curious what you all think.
I hope most of you can find a way to be happy for me and not wish that my new relationship fails, like some people i've talked to. :/

Do whatever makes you happy in life. If you try to hard to do what makes everyone happy then you'll end up having a mental breakdown at 15 years old. haha
It makes you happy, and why shouldn't you be? You've been there for many different bloggers and only deserve the best.
And I think jake is a great guy and enjoy talking to him too. Although I dont think he'll talk to many other people now haha.
So I support you 100% in this. for whatever thats worth. haha
Like you said, you cant be off any worse because of this.

I think learning to love is good for you. This is a safe and fun way to do that, imo.
just follow your heart, and dont listen to anyone who says otherwise.
do what makes you happy...and if it turns out to be a mistake then 'lesson learned'. your only 15, you need to make these choices for yourself and learn from what unfolds.
youve got my support no matter what the outcome!

Oh, go for it! You only live once, and you don't want to miss out on something that could be great. Even if it doesn't work out, you'll have learnt something, and it's all part of living.
An e-relationship should be looked at the same way a long distance real world relationship is - both types of relationship have various pros and cons and you are both going to have to work hard to make a go of it.
Good luck with it and I hope it makes you happy.
Any true relationship is nice and can give both sides great feeling, experiences and happy times. No matter if it's e- or in real life. No matter if it's friendship or love. I wish you, Jake and all your friends best
To love, and be loved, is what we crave. It is for the lovers to pursue that love however they can.
So - give love, be loved, share the love. Above all - don't pass it by!
What a lot of 'love' in this comment!
Remember, nouns decline, and verbs conjugate. Wishing you both every conjugal happiness!
Now - practice ... Amo, Amas, Amat, Amamus, Amatis, Amant ...
The blogosphere's favourite lovers <3 =]
I agree 100% with xthecouragex. What's with all this ill-feeling towards you??? Just ignore it and DO WHAT YOU WANT!!!!
I wish you and Robert all the best in your e-romance, and I hope it makes you happy!
Take care (both of you),
Col
Don't care what the haterz think!
I think JAnonymous is a wickedly creative and funny too... I'd tell him so myself, but I'm scared he'd mark me as a pedo in one of his secret world domination files.
Just do what you want, and learn from what you do, mate.
'bout time.
Go for it buddy! You're doing what makes YOU happy, not anyone else. Don't let anyone try and take that away from you! If you think/feel that this is right for you, then by all means give it a shot. =) You'll never know how it could have turned out if you don't at least try. I wish you guys the best of luck. =)
Love is the best thing there is. Go for it!
My only caution is to be careful. I don't know if you and Jake know each other any way other than electronically and I'd hate to see you get hurt, if he's not who/what he says he is. That's not a slam on Jake, of course, just an acknowledgment of reality.
lol
ur welcome to call me anytime mboy.
and you just wait til i get my cam!
lol
oi iGirl, ad me on msn
I voted I suppose it's worth trying
I am very happy for you- I think its awesome and wonderfully coincidental that you two are on the same continent! At what stage of the relationship will you two meet up in real life? Do either of you have a car or are their trains in Australia?
Much Love,
Steve
It's your decision and I really hope you find happiness. :D Brings hope to the rest of us who're still looking. I'm really happy for you, in any case.
give it hell, buddy. it's about time.
i know how jake won his heart...
gifts of teddy bears... lol
You should have had a choice to vote aweeeeeeeeeeee <3
Heh, I'm all for it because the only person who can really make you happy is yourself letting the things that make you happy...make you happy =-) So I guess in a way some people think it is better to bow to the ideas and whims of others...and I'm cool with that, because it will make them happy knowing that they're being supported.
But you are more of a free spirit =-) And you ought to give it a shot.
Do it do it do it! Cuz then I could be your bit on the side...
XD the word verification was jakedca
i think its a sign
YAY! Of course we want you to be happy! I voted GO FOR IT! of course! :) Good for you two!
well i'm pretty new around here - i've only just found your blog and have glanced at jakes. i voted 'yes - go for it' and i just can't think of any reason why not! hopefully your relationship will lose the 'e' in time!
i read your summary of 2008 and i really wish you well for 2009 - i hope your school days aren't as difficult as they have been. i can only imagine how hard it must be when your friends are homophobes. you gotta stick with it tho' - you'll get far more opportunities in life with good grades!
here's to 2009. all the best, and *greetings* from the UK.
torchy!
We havent invented trains yet, I will roll a stone down to him though.
hey have fun and do what makes you happy, thats all that counts... it dosent matter what anyone else says.

Well, friends don't always have to agree about everything.
My experience of Jake is a lot less that yours, M-boy. Unfortunately, his blog didn't appeal to me the way it has to a lot of people so I've only visited it a few times. And his comments on this blog didn't win me over. Consider it a matter of my personal taste. There's no accounting for tastes, and there's no point arguing about them. They are just there.
So, I would not have recommended that you enter into a special relationship with Jake if you had asked this question before you made your decision. And similarly, I can't pretend I'm personally delighted that you've done it.
But, again, you know him far better than I do, and it's your relationship, not mine. So I certainly don't hope that it fails. All I hope is for good things for you for the rest of your life. I hope this relationship brings you nothing but good. i hope that you will be happy.
Above all, as a Christian, I pray that God will fill your life with every blessing and that you will always grow in his grace and have joy all the days of your life, and that we may meet in heaven together with all those we have loved and have joy in being with one another and the Lord.
God bless you, Mirrorboy.
*hugs*

What N.G. said in those first two paragraphs is what I was trying (but failing) to say when I was talking to you yesterday.
I would hope that some who ask you to be cautious are doing so out of concern for you but I think you should enjoy whatever you can from the relationship.
If something develops then good if not you took a chance and either way you will get to know jake better and if nothing comes out of it then that is much easier to live with that then if you do not take a chance for hapiness.
There unfortunately has to be some risk in life in order to have rewards so I say take a risk on having your heart broken cause what if it works out, wouldn't that be nice, even if you had to wait a few years to make it happen.
And in the end it doesn't matter what we see in Jake it is what you see in him. Oh and it is good to know you all have trains down there :)
take care and be safe
bob
