That means on yourself, your friends, and people you have never heard of.

Lastly, notwithstanding how we feel about our friends' present difficulties, my advice to you is the same as my son gave me recently: "don't take life too seriously; you'll never survive!"

Bless you =]Doomed But Cheerful!https://www.blogger.com/profile/01076735241808506690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-387878206502427111.post-75383726123992018782008-12-20T17:31:00.000+11:002008-12-20T17:31:00.000+11:00It means those of us that can must reach out to as...It means those of us that can must reach out to as many as possible. And it means we have to stop the cycle of hate in it's path, and not pass on what has been given to us. I think that's the best any of us can do.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-387878206502427111.post-62883517000363779662008-12-20T14:28:00.000+11:002008-12-20T14:28:00.000+11:00glad you were there for aj. you're amazing.glad you were there for aj. you're amazing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-387878206502427111.post-89566544140913706842008-12-20T08:52:00.000+11:002008-12-20T08:52:00.000+11:00They say that 33% of gay teenagers are likely to a...They say that 33% of gay teenagers are likely to attempt (or succeed) in suicide. And gay teenagers are 4 times more likely than straight teenagers to attempt suicide.

Thats pretty sad. And unfortunately, despite the prevalance of information a mere google search away, so many teens feel lost and hopeless. I think, alas, every kid feels alone, like its just them suffering - falsely believing no one else could possibly be going through what they have to deal with.

Lucky for some, for example those of you who have found and joined our little blog world, there is hope, information, caring, and perhaps even peace, to be found. As mirrorboy states, "can get support from us at any time" - and thats an important function.

Kind of heavy post there, mirrorboy - but its very true. And sadly, what they do involves self-destruction. Every day pray for one more to be "saved" by finding your blog, or any one of our blogs, or even a similar community that can provide some of the answers and help people survive.Sethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05432734680316100034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-387878206502427111.post-75614202877180755292008-12-20T03:00:00.000+11:002008-12-20T03:00:00.000+11:00I was in the same situation. That is why I decided to start my own blog.

You and AJ were my inspiration to start blogging. Thank you.

PeterPeterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06516040438995006641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-387878206502427111.post-41203042823940458532008-12-20T02:10:00.000+11:002008-12-20T02:10:00.000+11:00If only we could reach them all. This is why people...If only we could reach them all.

This is why people like steevo and Pam are so important. They are available and they know what works.

But it is sad that lots of depressed people don't know where to turn for support.

Bless you for caring.naturgesetzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15268507379933286863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-387878206502427111.post-41980413541728096192008-12-20T01:14:00.000+11:002008-12-20T01:14:00.000+11:00It is really sad. People either don't have support or don't think they have support.

It's just so heartbreaking to me to hear about suicide, because life is so long and whatever the problem it cannot possibly last "forever". So if they just hang on and give themselves a chance, they could still find happiness in the future. But they can't see this because they are so clouded by their depression. Its so sad, it makes me want to cry.

Much Love,
StevePlanetx_123https://www.blogger.com/profile/02092798475390586321noreply@blogger.com
